7-12-00 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

7-14-00 VIBE@5IVE
CJ patrolled the downtown area and was the guest of honor at a city policeman`s retirement celebration.

7-28-00 CRUISE NIGHT
Though the event was technically "rained out", the storm passed and by 7:00pm CJ was out on patrol where he met with Kathleen Eriksen. During this meeting, the Queen of Hearts walked up and introduced herself, her mission and hopes to join CJ and CFG. Shortly afterward the CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS was formed.

8-1-00 BUCKY HARRIS PARK
CJ had the honor of working with police during the bike ride against crime around the downtown area.

8-4-00 VIBE@5IVE
CJ and CFG worked patrol during the event.

8-7-00 CROUCH CENTER
CFG worked the lunch hour from approximately 10:00am to 2:00pm.

8-8-00 CROUCH CENTER AND PICNIC IN THE PARK
CFG worked her regular hours at the center while CJ worked the Bucky Harris park function.

8-11-00 VIBE@5IVE
CJ, CFG and the QoH worked with police during the weekly function.

8-12-00 INTRODUCTION OF ROSIE
CJ, CFG and the QoH are invited to the BOMBERS football game to introduce Jackson`s new mascot ROSIE during half-time. Also in attendance was local upcoming celeb KRISTIE COLLINS and Pro Wrestler BLACKHAWKE.

CJ and the QoH worked the function.

8-21-00 CROUCH CENTER
CFG worked the meals on wheels lunch route.

8-22-00 CROUCH CENTER AND PICNIC IN THE PARK
CFG worked at the center while CJ worked the Bucky Harris park function.

8-25-00 CROUCH CENTER AND CRUISE NIGHT
CFG worked at the center during the day. That evening she, CJ and the QoH worked at the downtown function.

8-26-00 LOOMIS PARK
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS attended the celebration at Boo`s Center to honor all who volunteered during the build.

8-28-00 PLEASANT LAKE PLAYGROUND PROJECT MEETING
CJ and the QoH attended and discussed ways of promotion.

8-30-00 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL
CJ made his rounds.

9-1-00 thru 9-2-00 SUMMERFEST
CJ and the QoH worked with the police as well as with the event officials. They assisted with a young man who became separated from his group and with the police in the handling of a drunk individual who was harassing people on the street.

9-6-00 BART HAWLEY SHOW
CJ appeared on Bart`s show to promote the Pleasant Lake Playground Project.

9-7-00 RADIO COMMERCIAL AND INTERVIEW
CJ and the QoH made a public service commercial at WJKN. Then they appeared on the morning show on WKHM to promote the Pleasant Lake Playground.

9-9-00 CAR SEAT INSPECTION AT THE TOY HOUSE
CJ attended the function and further promoted the playground.

9-12-00 thru 9-17-00 PLEASANT LAKE PLAYGROUND BUILD WEEK
During the week, CJ and the QoH made appearances at the site while CJ made daily reports on Bart Hawley`s show. Beginning Friday evening, CFG and the QoH worked with child care and continued throughout the weekend. CJ worked many duties, including the tool crib.

9-18-00 RADIO INTERVIEW
CJ did an interview on WKHM about the success of the playground build.

9-21-00 VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY LUNCH AND SHERIFF MEETING

While both CJ and CFG were among the invited as recipients of this honor, only CJ could attend.
Afterward, CJ met Jackson County Sheriff Hank Zavislak who also attended the earlier event. Both talked about the positive effect the work of the CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS was having on the citizens of Jackson.

10-12-00 DAVE DANIELS GOING AWAY PARTY
CJ attended the party for 22 year veteran projectionist Dave Daniels who was moving to Colorado.

10-13-00 thru 10-15-00 MICHIGAN THREATRE
CJ and the QoH greet people over these three days during the showing of the movie "Rocky and Bullwinkle".

10-18-00 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

10-20-00 thru 10-22-00 MICHIGAN THEATRE
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS worked to greet patrons and help with crowd control during the "The Theatre that Dripped Blood" event.

10-25-00 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL
CJ made his regular rounds and met with Consumer`s Energy spokesman Dan Bishop.

10-26-00 thru 10-29-00 MICHIGAN THEATRE
CJ and the QoH worked "The Theatre that Dripped Blood". During one of the evenings, CJ and the QoH assisted police in a strong arm robbery which occurred outside the theater.

10-28-00 MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY
Representing the CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS, CJ attended this event and was interviewed by 105.3 radio personality Kim Steward about volunteering for the good of the public.

10-31-00 TRUNK OR TREAT
This was the first time CJ had an "official" volunteer job at one of the downtown events. He was in charge of the costume contest which was held at the end of the event. Along with the QoH, both are credited with locating two lost children and the aiding in the arrest of a drunk.

11-1-00 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

11-4-00 INTER-FAITH SHELTER MARCH
CJ and CFG had the honor of leading this march from Bucky Harris Park to the shelter at the corner of Blackstone and Wesley.

11-17-00 CHRISTMAS PARADE
CJ and CFG worked with police during the annual Christmas Parade. CFG was commended twice by police officers for her help with crowd control.

12-2-00 TOYS FOR TOTS
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS attended the event at the Caldwell Banker location on North street, bringing with them several toys for less fortunate children.

12-9-00 MICHIGAN THEATRE FOOD DRIVE
CJ and the QoH attended, greeting guests and contributing to the cause with the many cans of food they had been given by generous citizens.

12-16-00 MICHIGAN THEATRE CHRISTMAS SHOW
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS did their usual work at the Michigan, which includes cleaning up the theater after the show.

12-31-00 EVE ON THE AVE
Again assisting the DDA in an official volunteer capacity, CJ along with the QoH worked see this event was a great success. Later Arnie invited them in for the celebration.
