The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS did their regular jobs while enjoying the Rosier Players and assisting in clean up after the performances.

2-4-01 CHILI COOK-OFF AT JCC
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS attended the annual function, this time promoting Jackson in a semi-official capacity. Many local business and political leaders expressed their respect for the CFC mission.

3-1-01 thru 3-4-01 MICHIGAN THEATRE
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS greeted patrons and assisted in clean up after the show for the playing of the Beatles movie "It`s Been a Hard Day`s Night".

3-5-01 FLOWER PLANTING MEETING
CJ attended the annual meeting to again assign flower planters to adopters and decide what type of plants will be planted.

CJ and the QoH attended the annual show, having the opportunity to meet WJR Appliance Doctor Joe Gagnon.

3-25-01 SUGARING AND SHEARING FESTIVAL 2001
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were invited to act as judges for the Maple Recipe Contest. They had the difficult task of the winners of two categories, along with runners up for each class.

3-28-01 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

4-2-01 CROUCH CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATRE
CFG worked at the Senior Center. Afterward, she and CJ worked at the Michigan Theatre. Later they patrolled the downtown, turning in a nut to the police.

4-3-01 CROUCH CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATRE
CFG worked at the Senior Center. Afterward, she and CJ worked at the Michigan Theatre. This time CFG watches the movie. After that, CFG and CJ worked to help with cleaning up the interior.

4-4-01 CROUCH CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATRE
CFG worked the Center while CJ and QoH patrolled the streets. Later, all three worked the Michigan.

4-5-01 CROUCH CENTER
CFG participated in the MEALS ON WHEELS program. Afterward she and CJ patrolled the streets.

4-6-01 CROUCH CENTER
CFG worked the center doing her usual activities.

4-10-01 CONSUMER`S GROUND BREAKING AND DOWNTOWN PATROL
CJ and QoH attend the ground breaking function greeting many dignitaries and taking photos for the JACKSON MICHIGAN COMMUNITY EVENTS site. Later, they made there rounds downtown, this time witnessing and reporting a car accident to the city police.

4-12-01 AWARE SHELTER MARCH
CJ and QoH attended the "Take Back the Night" march as well as the presentation at the Michigan Theatre. Both assisted both in their regular Michigan Theatre volunteer duties as well as talking to fans about the Aware Shelter`s mission.

4-14-01 MICHIGAN THEATRE 71st BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
CJ, CFG and QoH appeared at the Michigan. At first they performed their regular jobs as greeters. During the show it was announced that the CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS would be escorting people from the theater to Arnie`s were the "After Glow" party was being held. Before the end of the show, CJ contacted the Jackson City Police and asked if a patrol unit could cruise the downtown area just after the show let out. Thanks to a slow night, two units were out in force. Even Mayor Martin Griffin, who was a volunteer at the theater that night, was impressed. Later at the After Glow party, CJ, CFG and QoH were personally thanked by not only MTJ President Linda Furgason and the members of the group Three Men and a Tenor, but by many of the attendees for their work toward the betterment of Jackson.

4-23-01 MICHIGAN THEATRE JCC FILM SERIES

4-25-01 "VOLUNTEER SUPERSTARS" CELEBRATION
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were on hand at the Jackson Non-Profit Support Center celebration were a number of volunteers were given awards for their volunteer work.

4-28-01 MICHIGAN THEATRE
CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL patrol the streets and greet the crowd for the afternoon movie.

4-30-01 MICHIGAN THEATRE VOLUNTEER DAY
CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand while MTJ President Linda Furgason and Manager George Davis handed out awards to seven of the theaters long time volunteers.

5-2-01 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

5-4-01 CINCO DE MAYO AND STORYFEST
CAPTAIN JACKSON began at the Cinco De Mayo festival at Bucky Harris Park, and then went to the Michigan Theatre to greet guests for the evening Storyfest. During the evening he went back and forth covering both events.

5-08-01 HEALTHY MINDS HEALTHFAIR
CAPTAIN JACKSON and the QUEEN of HEARTS were invited to appear at the fair at the mall.

5-09-01 FALLEN POLICE CEREMONY
CAPTAIN JACKSON and the QUEEN of HEARTS attended the ceremony held at Bucky Harris Park.

5-10-01 SENIOR CITIZEN FESTIVAL
CAPTAIN JACKSON and the QUEEN of HEARTS made it a point to accept the Crouch Senior Center`s invitation to be part of the annual celebration.

5-19-01 DOWNTOWN FLOWER PLANTING
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were on hand for the festivities and to plants flowers at their adopted planter (#47) at the Southeast corner of Washington Avenue and Blackstone Street.

5-23-01 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

5-24-01 GOODWILL INDUSTRIES PARTICIPANT RECOGNITION
At the invitation of CEO Guinn Rogers, CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand for the celebration.

5-25-01 CRUISE NIGHT
Though the first CRUISE NIGHT of the season was technically "rained out", The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were on hand to help out with the twenty-five or so cars that made it, along with the few hundred people still in attendance.

5-27-01 CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS visited with Pastor Edward E. Young of the Christian Assembly Church on Harris Street. Earlier, CAPTAIN JACKSON had set up a free mLive web site for the Church and was there to turn over the controls to Young.

5-28-01 MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND SERVICE
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS attended the Memorial parade and the Memorial Service at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.

5-30-01 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL
CAPTAIN JACKSON met with the costume department ladies from the SUPER SUCKERS movie at the Riverwalk Hotel. Afterward, he met with a Jackson High School journalism class downtown for an interview and photo shoot. They were to receive extra credit for an article about him. Then, at the Harris building, the Captain was on hand for the production crew of the movie for a photo shoot. In addition, an elderly lady and her daughter approached him with a camera saying, "Captain, I`ve been carrying my camera around for three weeks so I could get a picture of you. Do you mind?"

5-31-01 DOWNTOWN PATROL
The QUEEN of HEARTS spent the afternoon downtown. She visited the Mayor`s and talked to his secretary Sharron. She them went to Daryl`s Downtown to spend time with owner Daryl Hoskins. In addition, she made regular rounds to Mars` Restaurant, The Ave, the Riverwalk Hotel to visit with Scarlet of the movie costume department and the Crouch Senior Center to visit with the elderly.

6-3-01 ROSE PARADE
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS assisted the Police with crowd control and greeted many citizens. Because a number of floats stopped to meet and greet the CFC, they joined the parade at the end.

6-5-01 TRIAD MEETING
At the request of Joe Evans, CAPTAIN JACKSON attended the monthly meeting of the Triad Organization in the Blue Room of the Crouch Senior Center to get an idea of what they were all about and see if he could suggest any ideas.

6-6-01 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

6-8-01 DOWNTOWN PATROL
CAPTAIN JACKSON went on patrol as he had photos to deliver to the Costume Department of the SUPER SUCKER movie crew. After making his usual rounds, including a visit to Northern Sentry Security, he visited the courthouse where he was invited on a tour of the 911 facility in the basement by Sergeant Thomas Feiro.

6-9-01 DOWNTOWN PATROL, MICHIGAN THEATRE AND INTER-FAITH SHELTER
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS patrolled the downtown area and worked at the Michigan Theatre. CFG decided to stay and watch the movie so CJ and QoH visited the Inter-Faith Shelter where they were asked to once again lead the annual march this coming fall from Bucky Harris Park.

6-13-01 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

6-18-01 thru 6-22-01 CROUCH SENIOR CENTER
CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL began her first week of summer volunteer work at the center, helping with games, lunch and clean up. She usually arrived around 10:00am and is finished around 12:15pm. From then until CAPTAIN JACKSON would pick her (at around 1:15pm), she would visit with guests or help with the food crew.

6-18-01 DOWNTOWN PATROL
CAPTAIN JACKSON met CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL at the Crouch Senior Center after her duties and the two went on regular patrol. During which they visited the Costume Department ladies of the "Super Sucker" movie crew at the Hotel. During that time, movie actor Phil Powers asked for a photo shoot with CJ and CFG. They also visited Consumers Energy to view the presentation and meet with fans.

6-22-01 CRUISE NIGHT
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS was on hand for the event which drew hundreds from as far away as Ohio and Indiana. And while the crowd was estimated at around 2000, the CFC were kept very busy promoting the city events to the many out-of-towners.

6-26-01 MICHIGAN THEATRE
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS appeared at the Michigan Theatre in their first of many scheduled appearances at the theater`s "Just for Kid`s" summer matinee series, during which time they gave speeches about volunteering working with the police. Afterward, the two did a regular downtown patol.

6-28-01 CROUCH SENIOR CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATRE
The day began with CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL volunteering at the center. Later, she joined CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS at the Michigan Theatre for their second appearance of the "Just for Kid`s" series.
