1-7-02 JCC FILM SERIES AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE
CAPTAIN JACKSON began the year doing his volunteer work at the theater.

Recruited by The Friends of the Cascades Humane Society, CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS volunteered for this event which helps fund the day to day operations of the animal shelter.

CAPTAIN JACKSON, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL and The QUEEN of HEARTS attended the 16th annual event, greeting people and making certain the event was safe.

The QUEEN of HEARTS joined CAPTAIN JACKSON for his weekly volunteer service.

2-26-02 SOUTHERN MICHIGAN LAW ENFORCEMENT MEETING
CAPTAIN JACKSON was invited to attend and speak at this event , a gathering of regional law enforcement officers.

3-1-01 LAS VEGAS NIGHT #2 AND TV INTERVIEW
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS repeated their duties at the second Vegas night for The Friends of The Cascades Humane Society. During the event, Phil Dawson of WILX TV-10 interviewed both the Captain and the Queen and the TV station ran the report as a Cover Story on the 11:00pm newscast.

3-4-02 JCC FILM SERIES AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE

3-5-02 TRIAD MEETING AND THE BART HAWLEY SHOW
Because Chairman Joe Evans could not attend, CAPTAIN JACKSON helped Secretary Nancy Romano run the meeting.
Later that day, CAPTAIN JACKSON was a guest on The Bart Hawley Show on local cable channel TV-17. While on the show the Captain covered many topics, including the TRIAD cell phone project, Neighborhood watch programs, The Friends of the Cascades Humane Society, the current scam against the elderly, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL`S volunteer work at The Crouch Senior Center and The QUEEN of HEARTS` fight against Domestic Violence.

3-6-02 CITIZEN SALUTE TO CAPTAIN JACKSON AND THE QUEEN OF HEARTS
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS were the honored guests at the downtown restaurant Bella Notte`. The event was held by Ken Lewis and members of Gator Construction Company who have seen The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS around town and in action. During the salute many locals entered the restaurant to thank the crime fighters for their contributions to society.

3-8-02 THE ROSIER PLAYERS AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were on duty for the first of six annual performances by the Vaudeville group.

3-18-02 JCC FILM SERIES AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE

3-19-02 DOWNTOWN FLOWER PLANTING MEETING
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS attended the annual meeting at City Hall to help determine which plants will be planted in the various Downtown planters this spring. And, as in the past two years, The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS will once again have a planter and possibly a bucket planter or two to take care of during the summer months.

3-23-02 HARRY POTTER MOVIE AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS was hand to greed patrons at the theater as well as do their usual Downtown Jackson patrol, during which time CAPTAIN JACKSON assisted in turning in a stolen bicycle.

3-25-02 JCC MOVIE SERIES AT MICHIGAN THEATRE
When volunteering at The Michigan Theatre, CAPTAIN JACKSON makes it a point to patrol the Downtown Jackson area. During these patrols, he checks to make certain local merchants remembered to lock their doors, as well as look in on local restaurants such as DARYL`S DOWNTOWN, THE RED MOOSE INN and BELLA NOTTE`.
During his visit at BELLA NOTTE`, a deranged man entered and demanded a free drink. When one of the owners refused and called the authorities, this person exited the establishment and began exposing himself as if to urinate on the window in front of the many patrons. Once CAPTAIN JACKSON approached him, he attempted to throw himself in front of an oncoming automobile. Slipping on ice, the man ran.
CAPTAIN JACKSON chased the man for several blocks and finally turned over the chase to members of the City Police Department, the Fire Department and the Ambulance service.

3-30-02 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND DOWNTOWN PATROL
CAPTAIN JACKSON spent the evening hours volunteering at the Michigan Theatre and patrolling the downtown district of Jackson.

4-1-02 CROUCH SENIOR CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATER
CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL spent the morning volunteering at the Senior Center. At 1:00pm, she headed to the Michigan where she volunteered until about 2:30pm with the KID`S SPRING BREAK FILM SERIES.
That evening, she and CAPTAIN JACKSON volunteered at the Michigan for the JCC Film Series.

4-2-02 CROUCH SENIOR CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATER
CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL spent the morning volunteering at the Senior Center. At 1:00pm, she headed to the Michigan where she was joined by CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS for the KID`S SPRING BREAK FILM SERIES.

4-4-02 CROUCH SENIOR CENTER AND MICHIGAN THEATER

4-6-02 DANIEL J. COOPER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS had the honor of being invited to friend and fan Daniel J. Cooper`s birthday party.

4-8-02 AARP MEETING
Needing a guest speaker at the last minute, AARP Chapter 405 contacted CAPTAIN JACKSON in hopes he was available. He was not.
However, The QUEEN of HEARTS was able to attend and was a great hit! She has even been invited back and asked to join the group and create a web site.

4-20-02 BATTLE OF THE HIGH SCHOOL BANDS
This event featured a number of bands from Jackson High School and was held at the Michigan Theatre. The competition was professionally judged and the field was narrowed down to three bands. One of these bands, THREE FEET FROM FALLING, performed their original CAPTAIN JACKSON song.
During this event, CAPTAIN JACKSON worked security and concessions at the theater.

4-22-02 JCC FILM SERIES AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE

4-23-02 FOOTE HOSPITAL SILVER LINING HEALTH FAIR
The QUEEN of HEARTS was on hand at The Commonwealth Commerce Center during this annual health fair to help with the display booths of both Jackson County TRIAD and AARP Chapter 405. She spent over three hours talking to interested people who stopped by both booths.

4-24-02 ART COLONY PUBLIC HEARING
CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand at the Michigan Theatre for the presentation of the proposed JACKSON ART COLONY, to be located near the Armory/Old Prision off Ganson and Mechanic.

4-25-02 RESPITE CARE MEETING
CAPTAIN JACKSON. The QUEEN of HEARTS and Jackson County Prosecutor John McBain were the guest speakers for a meeting of Respite Care volunteers. This event was held at Cascades Manor House and included a present and a plant, along with a great turkey lunch.
For the presentation, CAPTAIN JACKSON began with safety tips and an explaination of Neighborhood Watch proceedures. The QUEEN of HEARTS then gave an Inspirational Talk, explained her history with elderly scams and gave even more specific details to the Captain`s opening. Then is was John McBains turn. He spoke about the legal end of what we had begun talking about. After his speech, the three took questions from members and later met with several of them.

4-26-02 AWARE SHELTER MARCH
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS attended the annual TAKE BACK THE NIGHT march. Both had helped promote the event.
Along with The Jackson City Police, The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS made certain the 60 plus marchers made it safely to the JSO Hall for the program.
