7-1-04 KID`S MOVIE SERIES AND DOWNTOWN PATROL

CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand as the guest celebrity for the Kid`s Movie presentation of ELF. As it was a Christmas movie, while on stage one of the questions he asked the children was if they sang Christmas Carols. Then he sang The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS own version of "Crimefighting" for which he received a great ovation.

While he patrolled the downtown streets where he ran into Jackson City Police Community Service Officers Chris Phillips and Joe Smith. They shared information about the downtown district and discussed some of the problems the Captain has encountered lately.

Later, he stopped by The Jackson Chamber of Commerce at One Jackson Square where he meet with many of the staff and picked up a copy of Jackson`s 175 birthday "coffee table" book (available for $10 while copies last).


7-2-04 "CELEBRATING THE CITY" PROGRAM AND PATROL

CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS were on hand for Jackson`s 175th birthday celebration at The Michigan Theatre. In attendance were many dignitaries such as Jackson Mayor Martin Griffin, US Congressman Nick Smith, Ex-State Senator Phil Hoffman, State Representative Clark Bisbee and US Senator Debbie Stabenow. Entertainment was provided by 2003 Rose Queen Stephanie Ruhl, The Jackson Blues Society, Matt Walsh, The Rosier Players and The Jackson District Library, with Bart Hawley as the Master of Ceremonies.

Later, the duo patrolled the downtown district. During that time they stopped for a late lunch at The Office Bar where they met with many of their fans as well as members of The Rosier Players. Afterward, they continued their patrol.

CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL was on hand to volunteer for the Kid`s Movie presentation at The Michigan Theatre.


7-9-04 SUMMERFEST

CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL worked with the local authorities downtown to ensure a safe event for the many families who attended. During the evening hours of the event, CAPTAIN JACKSON was able to record a video of The Persuader`s "CAPTAIN JACKSON Song", which is now a music video.

Though the rain was very heavy at times, CAPTAIN JACKSON made it a point of doing his usual rounds.

In addition to making his regular rounds during another day of heavy rain, CAPTAIN JACKSON also made it a point to spend time at The Michigan Theatre doing some restoration work, this time replacing the old metal aisle chains with new plastic ones.

The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were on hand to help make this event safe and crime free for all. Later, the trio stopped by the Michigan Theatre to volunteer during the first performance of the musical production of Grease.

CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand to volunteer at the Michigan Theatre during the musical, as well as take turns patrolling the downtown district.

Directed by Bill Bivins, the production included a cameo appearance by the Captain himself, just like last year`s L`il Abner.

and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand to volunteer at the Michigan Theatre during the musical, as well as take turns patrolling the downtown district.

8-4-04 COOL CITIES PLANNING MEETING

With Jackson being one of the seventeen "Cool Cities" in Michigan, Needa Delany held a meeting at the city hall council room to receive input from local business people as well as concerned citizens regarding the downtown district.
CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand to voice his opinion as well. Later, he patrolled the streets of the downtown district.

After a long day on the streets and volunteering at the Michigan, CAPTAIN JACKSON ended his night by joining up with three Jackson Police Officers in a dragnet looking for downtown`s "infamous" panhandler, who had been both frightening visitors as well as harassing locals. Unfortunately, their efforts were unable to catch this problem maker.


8-10-04 PROSECUTING ATTORNEY`S OFFICE

Being upset with the seemingly lack of ability to get this "panhandler" off the streets of his district, CAPTAIN JACKSON contacted the Jackson Prosecuting Attorney`s office and gave a full report to one of the assistant prosecuting attorneys who promised to prosecute if the police would forward a report. Up to that point, they had been unaware of the seriousness of this situation.


8-11-04 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL


8-13-04 COOL CITIES PRESENTATION AND DOWNTOWN TOUR

The Michigan Theatre was the venue for the Cool Cities presentation where a check for $100,000 was presented to the city by the State of Michigan. Later, a downtown tour and concert were planned, but due to weather conditions, the first was minimized and the second canceled.

CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand for all the events, and continued his patrols into the evening.


8-14-04 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

CAPTAIN JACKSON
was on hand for the Magic at The Michigan! fundraising program which drew hundreds of people for the three hour event. During the show, he made many patrols of the downtown district.


8-17-04 MICHIGAN THEATRE BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING

CAPTAIN JACKSON attended the regular meeting where he explained his progress on the signs he had been working on.


8-17-04 CITY COUNCIL MEETING

Before the meeting, CAPTAIN JACKSON ran into Acting Jackson Police Chief Matt Heins and Sgt. Scott Rogers. He explained his conversation with the prosecutors office.

At the meeting, CAPTAIN JACKSON was one of the many citizens who praised retiring City Manager Warren Renando, as he retired from his job August 20th. Later, he met with the new City Manager William Ross.


8-19-04 PASSAGES

For the second time in as many years, CAPTAIN JACKSON attended the PASSAGES: Ladies Night Out event at the Michigan Theatre---this time joined by The QUEEN of HEARTS.

In addition to their regular volunteer duties at the theater, PASSAGES head Jenny Wren asked the duo to join her on stage to help award the many prizes. After the event, the pair patrolled the streets to make certain the thousand women who attended made it safely to their cars.

spent the early afternoon traveling to Albion, Michigan to attend the Children`s Fair that was being held at Victory Park. During his visit he spent time with Crimefighter Corps friend and Albion Public Safety Officer Don Whitney.

During his regular patrol duties, CAPTAIN JACKSON met and spent time with many Jackson visitors who were there for the final race weekend of the year at MIS, many of whom wished to have their photo taken with the Captain.

was on hand to attend and announce his PR plans for this year`s annual event.

Later he patrolled his district.


8-27-04 CRUISE NIGHT

Though the last CRUISE NIGHT event ended a little early due to a light rain around 8:30pm, local independent crime fighters CAPTAIN JACKSON, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL and The QUEEN of HEARTS were on hand to assist the local police forces to make this another crime free event!

CAPTAIN JACKSON
began his day by calling into the JACKSON NOW! radio show, as well as The Bart Hawley Show to let people know that he and The QUEEN of HEARTS would be at the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon to be held at Belle Notte downtown on Monday, the 6th.

Later, while on patrol and volunteering at The Michigan Theatre, he met with Kate Lambert Lee who has created a new promotional web site called Scarab49201.

had a very busy evening volunteering at The Michigan and taking criminal reports from local citizens and businesses while on downtown patrol. Thanks to the combined efforts of them, and the Jackson City Police Department, at least four drunks of seven reported and three panhandlers were removed from the streets of the downtown district.


9-6-04 MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY TELETHON

For the second year in a row, CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS joined the local MDA volunteers at Bella Notte to help raise money for the wonderful cause.

9-11-04 ALBION NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PICNIC

CAPTAIN JACKSON
and The QUEEN of HEARTS attended the fifth annual police sponsored community picnic held in Albion`s Victory Park. This is the fourth time members of The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS have been invited to speak and exchange views about neighborhood watch programs.

During the event CAPTAIN JACKSON received a Special Award for his work with the Albion watch groups and the police.


9-11-04 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL

After returning from Albion, CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS headed downtown to volunteer at The Michigan Theatre and patrol their primary district.

During one of his patrols the Captain met with Jackson Police Officer Dave Renteria and discussed some of the recently criminal events in the area.


9-13-04 RADIO INTERVIEW

After seeing CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS on Channel Six during the MDA Telethon, the morning crew of WIOG in Saginaw wanted to do a morning interview with the Captain. The spot went well and many fans from the Saginaw area are now in contact with The CRIMFIGHTER CORPS.


9-14-04 ALBION NORTHWEST NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH GROUP MEETING

The QUEEN of HEARTS
attended the meeting which was held at Albion College where Tom Brown of the Greater Albion Alliance Health & Action Wellness Action Team, explained the new watch program they received an $80,000 grant for.


9-16-04 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS MEETING

Representing the Michigan Theatre, CAPTAIN JACKSON attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting at The Big Apple. While there, he spent time with many local business and community leaders including County Commissioner Greg Wilson and Jackson Fire Department Acting Chief Larry Bosell.

The Captain took turns between volunteering at the JSO`s Buster Keaton movie event at the Michigan and downtown patrols.


9-18-04 BOB & TOM COMEDY SHOW AT THE MICHIGAN

With a sold out crowd of 1500 people in attendance, CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS worked security at the theater and the five comedians who performed. After the event, the pair patrolled the downtown area.


9-21-04 MICHIGAN THEATRE BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING

attended the meeting where he announced completion of the new balcony signs he had been working on.

was on hand to volunteer at the theater for the Jackson Symphony Orchestra`s presentation of the 1944 movie Henry the Fifth.
During and after the movie, the Captain spent time patrolling the streets of his district.


9-28-04 POST OFFICE EVENT AND DOWNTOWN PATROL

began his day by attending a retirement party at the downtown Post Office for 31 year employee Bill Gibbs.
Afterward, the Captain visited many area locations including City Hall, and ended up meeting with Jackson County Commissioner Greg Wilson.

10-2-04 "THE STARS OF ROCK `N ROLL" AT THE MICHIGAN

CAPTAIN JACKSON
and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL worked security at the theater for the event which featured world renowned musical groups The Classics, Johnny Farina, The Tokens, The Chantels and The Drifters.
During and after the event they had the opportunity to meet and mingle with many of the great legends who were very impressed with The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS` mission to the community. Drifters lead Charlie Thomas even asked the crime fighting duo to get on stage and dance during the last number!

10-7-04 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS MEETING

Representing the Michigan Theatre, CAPTAIN JACKSON attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Jackson Country Club. While there, he spent time with many local business and community leaders including Jackson City Councilman Dan Greer and Jackson County Commissioner Greg Wilson.
The Captain was also lucky enough to win a gift basket which was donated by event sponsor Standard Federal Bank.

With the need for a new postmaster in the Jackson office of the USPS, an official "swearing in" ceremony is required to take place. During the ceremony for Jackson`s new Postmaster Carmen Hughes, many local and regional dignitaries were invited to attend.
CAPTAIN JACKSON was honored to be one of the invited guests, and he welcomed Carmen to the community.


10-23-04 5TH ANNUAL COLDWELL BANKER TOTS PARTY

For the fourth year in a row, members of The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS have helped Coldwell-Banker Reality collect toys for the needy. This year, CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were at the event to help promote, and meet with the scores of people who contributed to this wonderful cause.

The day began very early for CAPTAIN JACKSON as he dropped off this year`s CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS scarecrow entry, this one being of the Captain himself.

Afterward, he spent the greater part of the day at the Downtown Transit Station helping out with the annual event, as well as patrolling the downtown district.

attended a special Business After Hours at the Jackson County Fairgrounds Special Events Center which was held in coordination with the Chamber`s annual JAXPO event. This year The Michigan Theatre had a booth and the Captain assisted John Ropp run it during the evening.

11-11-04 VETERAN`S DAY PROGRAM AT THE MICHIGAN THEATRE


With the streets of Downtown Jackson rather quiet, CAPTAIN JACKSON was able to spend most of the evening participating at the Michigan for the Celebrating Freedom! program.

Activities included G.L.M.L.V.P.S. Antique Military Vehicles lining Mechanic Street in front of the theater, Military Display Collectibles from Don Ramirez, live music by the Dr. Moses Muzquiz Band, a speech by State Senator Mark Schauer, Army ROTC Cadets working as volunteers (whom CAPTAIN JACKSON had the honor of speaking to), "How To Stay Afloat Wearing Army Boots" author Bill Melms (who also signed autographs), and the 1955 classic movie MR. ROBERTS starring James Cagney, Henry Fonda, William Powell and Jack Lemmon.

Strangely enough, this was also the 5th anniversary of the day CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL began their crime fighting work in this great community!

The Captain`s evening began with the Building Committee Meeting at The Michigan Theatre. After the meeting, he made his rounds in the downtown district.

With CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL out of town on business, The QUEEN OF HEARTS worked solo with the local authorities to make certain the annual parade festivities were safe for all who attended.


11-20-04 MEETING WITH G1N EXECUTIVES

While visiting Grandma Jackson in the Detroit area with CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL, CAPTAIN JACKSON met with Global 1 Network Broadcating Comapany executives regarding a possible CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS movie as well as a local network affiliate in the Jackson area to promote the community and local talent.

Upon returning to Jackson, The Captain reported for security duty at The Michigan Theatre for the Rockabilly Legends show.

During the show, The Captain made his usual rounds of the Downtown District and reported the panhandler who had been harassing customers of both Daryl`s Downtown and Bella Notte over the past several months.

While attendance at the concert was only a few hundred, the show was great and CAPTAIN JACKSON was able to spend some time with star Wanda Jackson after her performance.

During his time at the Michigan, he directed the video taping of the pilot for a new version of CREEP THEATER.

12-2-04 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS


Held at the Davis Banquet Facility on Francis Street in Summit Township, the first Chamber of Commerce of the month drew a remarkable crowd!
CAPTAIN JACKSON make it a point to attend where he met many fellow citizens including Bart Hawley, Greg Wilson and "Window Doctor" Jay Egeler.

It was a busy evening downtown. At The Michigan Theatre, Santa Claus himself greeted the many patrons in attendance for the Big Movie Friday event.
CAPTAIN JACKSON was also kept very busy. When not patrolling the streets he met with many fans, including County Commissioner Greg Wilson and his grand daughter, as well as new Jackson City Manager Bill Ross`s stepson Phil Dye.
Phil
and his family hail from Auburn Hills, Michigan (near Pontiac) and likes what he`s seen of the Jackson area. He also hopes to work with The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS and their mission of crime prevention and community promotion.

was on hand to volunteer at the Theater for the MACI Christmas party as well as patrol his district of the city.


12-6-04 CROP WALK MEETING

Earlier this year, CAPTAIN JACKSON was invited to join the multi-denominational Crop Walk fund-raiser to work in public relations. This year the event raised almost $2500 more than the previous few years, to which the Captain was given credit.
This was the wrap-up meeting for the annual event during which the Captain committed himself to an even more profitable year for the charity fund in 2005.

was on hand to work security for the "Aloha From Hawaii" concert starring Elvis impersonator Doug Church. Also on the bill was the Original Sweet Inspirations, the original backup singers for The Kings
During his time at the Michigan, he directed the video taping of the second show of a new version of CREEP THEATER, which can be seen on COMCAST Channel 19 Friday nights at 10:00pm in Jackson County.
While not at the theater enjoying the wonderful performance, the Captain was busy patrolling the streets of his district.

CAPTAIN JACKSON
and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand to work with the police for the annual downtown New Year`s Eve event.
While there, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL spent time with Phil Dye, stepson of new Jackson City Manager Bill Ross.
During the evening The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS met with many fans, including a group from different cities in Florida who mentioned that the CFC were very popular in that state. They took many photos to convince their friends that the crime fighters are real and actually perform the duties they speak about on their respective websites.
After the crowd broke up, the pair was invited to the residence of Bart and Karen Hawley to spend some private time to help ring in the new year with them and many of their friends.
