1-4-05 REGULAR DOWNTOWN PATROL


1-6-05 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS


The first Chamber of Commerce Business after Hours of the year took place at the newly refurbished Gilbert`s Steak House. It was one of the largest such events in some time and turned out to be quite a "Who`s Who" of Jackson business and political leaders. Representing The Michigan Theatre, CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand to both enjoy the party as well as promote the theater.
During the gala, County Commissioner Greg Wilson delivered a "special order" shirt to the Captain (for part of his uniform wardrobe) from his store Pro Image Uniforms on Wisner Street.


1-7-05 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND DOWNTOWN PATROL

CAPTAIN JACKSON
and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand to volunteer at the theater for the First Friday Movie RAY, a film about the life of performer Ray Charles.
Before the movie began CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL had the honor of assisting local jazz legend and guest celebrity Benny Poole on stage for the prize presentation.
During the movie both crime fighters took turns patrolling the streets of Downtown Jackson.

was on hand to volunteer at the theater for the beginning of another season of the JCC Winter Film Series. During, and after the program, he worked the streets of his district.

was working both the theater as a volunteer as well as keeping an eye on his district. And because the temperatures were in the single digits he did his regular patrol in his latest Crimefightermobile.

With another cold night in store for the citizens of Jackson, CAPTAIN JACKSON was joined by CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL.
Because it was a quiet evening, she decided to accept a dinner invitation from Phil Dye, stepson of Jackson City Manager Bill Ross. He took her to Daryl`s Downtown where they shared a wonderful meal together.
During breaks from his theater and patrol duties, The Captain worked with John Robinson, Ron Hiveley, George Davis and Don Brown for the shooting of a couple CREEP THEATER episodes.
Later, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL joined CAPTAIN JACKSON for the closing of the Michigan Theatre as well as performing a few more patrols around the Downtown Jackson area to make certain the local citizens were safe.


1-20-05 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS

CAPTAIN JACKSON
was on hand for the bi-monthly Chamber of Commerce event, this time held at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson. While there, he was happy to visit with old friends and fellow celebrities Rocky Curl and Scott Clow, both of whom are now employed at Comcast.

After attending the Chamber get together, CAPTAIN JACKSON volunteered at the theater as well as patrolled his district.

and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand to work security for the `Lectric Hillbilly Review concert at the theater which featured Kurnell T & the Dixie Mafia, Cash O`Riley & the Down Right Daddies, and Honest D & the Steele Reserve.
The concert was very well received, and both local crime fighters had their chance to spend some time with on of their favorites, local music star Cash O`Riley.
And while it was a late night for the crime fighting duo, they still took time to patrol their downtown district to make certain it was safe and crime free.

2-3-05 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS

was on hand for the bi-monthly Chamber of Commerce get together.


2-4-05 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND DOWNTOWN PATROL

As it was a First Friday Movie event at the theater, CAPTAIN JACKSON was the guest celebrity and worked with House Manager George Davis with the on stage presentation during which they awarded over a hundred dollars worth of prizes.
Once the film began, the Captain took on his regular duty doing patrol in his downtown district.


2-5-05 JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT "CRAZY BOWL" EVENT

One of the local JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT organization`s greatest annual fund raising events is called "Crazy Bowl". This is an event where bowling teams do the craziest things to roll a bowling ball down the alley just to raise money.
This year, CAPTAIN JACKSON was invited to participate and meet and greet guests at Airport Lanes, as well as draw the 50-50 and Grand Prize winners from different raffle ticket containers.
While the event is always packed with scores of teams, according to JA member Liz Niles, this years` event not only met, but EXCEEDED their goal as far as raising funds for their many great community activities!


2-5-05 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND DOWNTOWN PATROL

Later in the evening CAPTAIN JACKSON was on hand to both volunteer at the theater as well as shoot another episode of CREEP THEATER which is shown on Comcast Channel 19 Friday nights at 10:00pm.
During his free time, the Captain patrolled his district to insure another crime free evening for all who visited.

was on hand to work security for Gregory Popovich and the Comedy & Pet Show. The show was a variety of circus acts and pets doing tricks.
During, and after the program, he worked the streets of his district.


2-12-05 JEFF DANIELS CONCERT

Almost like clockwork, February always seems to be the time of year when film and stage star Jeff Daniels appears at The Michigan Theatre. This year it was with his one man show JEFF DANIELS: Live and Unplugged.
The house was nearly packed, raising money not only for the Michigan, but Daniels` own Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea Michigan.
In addition to the regular volunteers, CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand to provide security for the star, as well as assist the many patrons as they went to the V.I.P. dinner at Daryl`s Downtown with Jeff after his performance.
During, and after the show, both crime fighters took turns patrolling the streets. While passing Belle Notte` the Captain was asked to greet a sorority group from Albion in the banquet room for photos and autographs.


2-13-05 SNOWFLAKE CHILI COOK-OFF

An annual tradition, The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS attended the Chili Cook-Off held at JCC. This is the sixth year for CAPTAIN JACKSON, and the fifth year for both CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL and The QUEEN OF HEARTS.
The trio enjoyed the many different types of chili and food offered at the event. Even better was the fact that they were able to again meet with so many friends and fans who they don`t get to visit with often because of their regular patrol duties.

During the movie, The QUEEN of HEARTS joined the usual cast to make her first appearance on the popular television show.

4-1-05 MICHIGAN THEATRE AND APRIL FOOL`S COMEDY CONTEST

CAPTAIN JACKSON
was on hand for the theater`s First Friday event where on stage he introduced new theater house manager Laura Lyn Rosier-Heckaman to the audience.
Afterward, he rushed to Bella Notte Ristorante where he joined J-Rod (from K-105.3), Stan & Helga Fracker, long time comic Charlie Ogar (along with his "partner in crime" Lisa), and local golf great Elaine Crosby to be a judge at Sue Fracker`s Comedy Contest. The restaurant was packed and a great time was had by all.
Later the Captain patrolled his district.

After making a brief appearance at a wedding, The Captain made his way downtown to volunteer at the Theater as well as patrol his district.

began his evening by attending the bi-monthly Chamber of Commerce get together. Afterward, he patrolled his district as well as assisted at The Michigan Theatre.

spent time with Kawita Kandpal, who hails from the Tecumseh, Michigan area for a very in depth interview.
Later he patrolled the streets of Jackson.

With CAPTAIN JACKSON home with a cold, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL took over by volunteering at the Michigan as well as patrolling the downtown district to insure everyone`s safety.

spent most of the afternoon patrolling his district, visiting with many locals. Later he attended the monthly Building Committee Meeting at the Michigan Theatre.
Then he was on hand for the "Let`s Party" seminar held at the theater which discussed teenage drinking and drug use and how parents can talk to their children.
Afterwards he continued his patrols.


4-21-05 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS AND LADIES NIGHT OUT

CAPTAIN JACKSON
attended the Chamber of Commerce bi-monthly event, this time held at The Ground Round.
Later, he patrolled downtown and attended the Ladies Night Out event at the Michigan Theatre where he had the honor of introducing many of the ladies on stage.


4-22-05 THE BOB AND TOM COMEDY SHOW

CAPTAIN JACKSON, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL
and The QUEEN of HEARTS were on hand at The Michigan Theatre to work security for the almost sold out event. Joining them on the security team was new volunteer Jay Egeler, also known as The Window Doctor. In addition to his security duties, he also gives a hand where he can and makes cameo appearances on CREEP THEATER.

4-28-05 HUMAN SERVICES DEPT. APPEARANCE AND DOWNTOWN PATROL

CAPTAIN JACKSON
began his afternoon by making an appearance at the Jackson County Department of Human Services where he talked with a number of children and their parents about crime prevention as part of "take your child to work day".
Afterward he patrolled the downtown district.


4-29-05 8th ANNUAL AWARE SHELTER MARCH

CAPTAIN JACKSON
and The QUEEN of HEARTS attended the annual event (the sixth time for the Captain, the fifth for the Queen) and helped lead the march which started at Buckey Harris Park and took the long way around the streets of downtown Jackson to end at the JSO center where a program is always held.
This year`s guest speaker, Jim Parker, inspired all in attendance. He was raped at the age of twelve by a Priest in Lansing and has written the book, RAPED in the House of GOD: The Murder of My Soul which is available by clicking the title.
After the presentation, the crime fighting duo patrolled the streets of their district.


4-30-05 MICHIGAN THEATRE 75th ANNIVERSARY

CAPTAIN JACKSON, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL
and The QUEEN to HEARTS were on hand to work and help celebrate The Michigan Theatre`s "Diamond in the Rough" birthday party.
The entertainment included impersonators Jack Nicholson, Forrest Grump, Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Marilyn Monroe and Diana Ross as well as musical group Three Men and a Tenor who performed to a crowd of almost 500.
After the show the crime fighters attended the "after glow" party held at Daryl`s Downtown where they had the opportunity to relax and mingle with many of the guests and performers.

was on hand to volunteer at the theater for the annual Storyfest presentation. During the program he was joined by Ron Hiveley and John Robinson for the shooting of another episode of the very popular CREEP THEATER television show.

5-11-05 COMIC BOOK NIGHT

CAPTAIN JACKSON
was a guest at the Carnegie Library for the Big Brothers Big Sisters event where both kids and adults practiced learning how to draw comic book characters. The Captain even had his own portrait done by the guest artist.
Later, he patrolled the streets of his community.


5-13-05 CHILDREN`S FAIR, MICHIGAN THEATRE AND CREEP THEATER SHOOT

began his patrol by making an appearance at the McCulloch School Children`s Fair where he met with many spent time with many kids.
Afterward, The Captain headed to the Michigan where he volunteered as well as shot another episode of CREEP THEATER.


5-17-05 BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING AND PATROL

began his early evening by attending the monthly meeting at The Michigan Theatre. Afterward, he patrolled his district and stopped in the County Tower Building where he spent a few minutes at the County Commission meeting.


5-18-05 NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION WEEK

The QUEEN of HEARTS
spent the day volunteering at the downtown JTA station for the annual week long event. In addition, she patrolled the downtown area.


5-18-05 NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION WEEK, BUSINESS AFTER HOURS AND CROP WALK MEETING

CAPTAIN JACKSON
took his turn volunteering at the event and patrolling the downtown area.
After a short visit to The Michigan Theatre and The Jackson Chamber of Commerce, he attended the bi-monthly Business After Hours get together.
When the event ended, he attended the first Crop Walk planning meeting (the event is held in October). This is his second year and he works on PR for the group.


5-19-05 MICHIGAN THEATRE, CREEP THEATER SHOOT AND PATROL

The crew of the very popular weekly television show had a special visitor to the set during the weekly taping. Mike Ancrile attended as an audience guest as well as did his famous Miss Edweena character off camera.
Afterward, CAPTAIN JACKSON patrolled the streets and ran into a State Trooper with whom he discussed the few problems downtown.


5-27-05 CRUISE NIGHT

While Memorial Weekend is considered the un-official beginning of summer in Michigan, CRUISE NIGHT is the beginning of summer festivities in downtown Jackson. Even though the weather service had forecast a threat of rain, over 100 antique and custom automobiles and close to two thousand people enjoyed the first of four such events in downtown Jackson.
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS were on hand to work with the local police forces to make certain everyone in attendance had a fun and crime free evening, as well as help promote the city to out of town visitors.


5-28-05 10th ANNUAL GRAND PRIX AT CASCADES FALLS PARK

Though no longer held in downtown Jackson as part of the now defunct SUMMERFEST event, Junior Achievement`s annual mini go-kart race was well attended by hundreds of people who enjoyed the many races, carnival rides and food at it`s new location.
CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS patrolled the area greeting people and having their pictures taken with many fans.


5-28-05 DOWNTOWN PATROL

patrolled the downtown area as well as visited The Michigan Theatre. During his patrol the Captain was asked for autographs and to pose for a picture with the bride and groom of a wedding being held downtown.

6-5-05 ROSE PARADE

For the fifth year in a row, members of The CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS were on hand to work with the local police to make certain the annual event was safe and crime free for all that attended.
This year, CAPTAIN JACKSON and The QUEEN of HEARTS worked the streets in the 90`+ temperatures, as well as marched at the end of the parade as they have for the past few years.

was on hand at the Michigan to help during the Rosier Players rehearsal.
Later during his downtown patrol he ran into Jackson Arts and Technology Academy principal Lezlie Bowles and invited to spend a few minutes helping celebrate her 49th birthday at Daryl`s Downtown.

made his appearance at the bi-monthly meeting, this time held at the Wisner Street branch of County National Bank.
Later he spent time patrolling the downtown district.


6-17-05 WHEELS OF THUNDER AND MICHIGAN THEATRE

and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL were on hand for the second annual event which welcomed motorcycles downtown for a number of activities.
During their patrols they stopped at the Michigan and offered their volunteer services.


6-18-05 WHEELS OF THUNDER AND MICHIGAN THEATRE

and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL spent most of the afternoon working with the local authorities to ensure this family event was a safe one for all, as well as enjoyed the festivities themselves.
As the event rapped up, the trio volunteered at the Michigan during The Rosier Players show, taking turns patrolling the streets and doing bar checks.


6-19-05 ROSIERS PLAYERS AT THE MICHIGAN

spent the afternoon video taping the Vaudeville Troop which will be marketed as a fundraising tool for the theater.

6-24-05 CRUISE NIGHT

Despite heat indexes in the upper nineties, CAPTAIN JACKSON and CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL worked with the local authorities to ensure the safety of all for the second Cruise Night of the summer.
Due to the heat, the event wasn`t as large as usual. However, the crowd and automobiles still packed both Michigan Avenue and Jackson Street.
Later, the duo stopped by the Michigan Theatre to offer their volunteer services.
