It recently came to my attention that our website is outdated. Part of which is because of the fact that CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS ACTIVITIES REPORTS has not been updated in the past couple of years. There are a couple of reasons for this, as well as the fact that the CRIMEFIGHTER CORPS CALENDAR OF EVENTS site hasn`t been updated in years.
To address the first, I have a regular job and work has been down for the past couple of years, and eating and patrolling my district has seemed more important than paying someone to post the entries for us. Besides, having created (along with the local police services, local business owners and residents) the most crime free district (the Downtown Jackson loop area) in the entire county, makes me proud. To address the second, every celebrity has their "stalkers". And believe it or not, even when a PRIVATE event was on the schedule, some of these people would show up just to see us. Just imagine the problems with something like that...
However, I digress. And there are other reasons. For example, CRIMEFIGHTER GIRL is now twenty years old and just finished her second year of college in Kalamazoo. She also manages a high end grocery store. The QUEEN of HEARTS in in semi-retirement and with crime in our district almost to a dead stop, why should she, like me, be on the streets every couple of days?

Just for your information, this evening I attended a Jackson Chamber of Commerce Business after Hours party at Allegiance, and afterwards I attended the special City Council meeting when the council decided to hire our new city manager. And after the meeting, I did my patrol in light rain, had my picture taken with many fans and did would I could to keep my district the most crime free in the entire city.
If anyone has a problem with what I have done for the past 10+ years and would like to try to do better---I welcome your help as I`m back on my own again! Otherwise, I guess people that won`t even try to do what we have accomplished will just continue to cut us down. If so, go for it. I have no problem with bad publicity.
