THE 25th ANNUAL JCC WINTER FILM SERIES
by Captain Jackson

For those of you who enjoy classic movies, this years` film series at The Michigan Theatre in downtown Jackson is something you don`t want to miss!

These films are shown in conjunction with the Jackson Community College class "English 210: Introduction to Film", which is taught by Dr. Ann Green. Each Monday night during the spring semester the class meets in the auditorium of The Michigan Theatre for an hour class. After a short break, the students are joined by regular patrons of the theater for the presentation of the film. After the film the class resumes for a short discussion.

The series began Monday January 7, 2002 with the showing of the silent film METROPOLIS and concludes April 29 with the showing of the 2001 release MOULIN ROUGE. The movies are open to the public and begin at 7:15pm. Some of the films (including CITIZEN KANE, CASABLANCA and GOLDFINGER) will also be shown the preceding Friday and Saturday.

For more information about the scheduled films, times and dates, you may call The Michigan Theatre Event Line at (517) 783-0811, visit their web site at: Michigan Theatre or check the JXN Michigan Calendar of Events.

If you`re a movie buff like I am, you won`t want to miss this unique film series!
